×The architects of the Copernicus Science Center in Warsaw attached great importance to a natural colour effect of the building facade. They envisioned the building envelope as several parts of a puzzle in different colours. The unique aura of the museum is due to this design concept. The building exudes progress and modernity, combined with a deep respect for nature and its inimitable secrets.
For this project the fibreC panels were produced in seven special colours in addition to the four standard colours. fibreC has one distinct advantage over other colour-treated materials – the consistent colouring of the entire panel. The mixture of the desired colour is created before the actual production process starts. Thus the colour becomes part of the product by being added during the blending of the raw materials.
Apart from the visual appearance and the wish to use environmentall-friendly materials, safety and fire protection also played an important role in the selection of the building materials. By choosing fibreC panels for the facade, all these requirements can be easily met. Owing to its excellent thermal values (fire protection class A1 "non-flammable"), fibreC is a particularly sturdy material that does not require any additional treatments or chemical coatings.
