ICONS OF DENMARK
International law firm Ashurst has opened its doors to a new office located in the Fruit & Wool Exchange development in the heart of Spitalfields. ID:SR Interiors were appointed to design Ashurst’s new home within the iconic building, creating a distinctly modern scheme which is also sympathetic to its historical context.
The Furniture Practice were appointed on a consultancy basis to supply the complete furniture package for all seven floors of the scheme, encompassing a variety of cellular and open plan work settings, meeting rooms, staff amenities and client areas, as well as events space and a reception area. As part of the consultancy process, The Furniture Practice conducted engagement meetings with key stakeholders, coordinated and hosted furniture mock-ups and supported ID:SR during the specification process, while keeping to a carefully defined aesthetic and budget. A key consideration was to introduce contemporary furniture pieces to the scheme, using warm neutral tones in order to create a unique and modern yet welcoming environment for Ashurst’s staff and clients to work in and experience.
