The zhero Hotel Kappl, Member of Design Hotels, is a statement of contemporary luxury.
The hotel is situated in the austrian Paznaun-valley near the Alpes hotspots Ischgl.
The design is inspired by classical french hotel chic. By mixing this design intention with traditional materials from the region toc. designstudio developed a new and unique style for the alpine hotel.
Black high gloss furniture is combined with wooden ceilings, which are made from old barns. Soft silk carpets lay on big format stone floors. In the bar you sink into soft upholstered furniture grouped around the fireplace made of traditional dry masonry. The deliberate avoidance of an undifferentiated general lighting in favor of a scenographic lighting makes the hotel a stage for its guests. This design concept was used for the restaurant and bar, as well as for the 78 rooms, 8 suites and 4 penthouses. To complete the exclusive character of this alpine Grand Hotel toc. designstudio created a variety of furniture specifically for the hotel.
The idea for the 800m2 spa area was a modern interpretation of a mountain gorge. The pool is surrounded by slanting rock walls that divide the area to create intimate area and simultaneously accommodate functions such as showers. From the rock, a waterfall cascades into the pool and contrasts with the crackling fire in the adjacent lounge.
The spa is complemented by the sauna and massage area which extends the stay at zhero Hotel into a complete experience that stays in mind.
In cooperation with EWRE.
