Milan, 10/24/2018. For the opening of the Architecture Biennale in Venice, ZEUS had the honor of realizing, following the Biennale project, the interior decoration of the Bombarde coffee restaurant, located at the Venice Arsenal.

I work a lot on materials, as well as on form - says Maurizio Peregalli, main designer and CEO of ZEUS - and on the relationship between movement, matter and colour. I do not always start off from a design sketch: I start off from potentiality, visible or invented, of material. The style of ZEUS is minimal, exceptional: it is direct, influenced by personal history, certainly also by oriental culture, by manual work where my roots lie, from my interest for material, for what it expresses through form.

ZEUS is a self-produced and worldwide distributed design collection. The research of new, yet traditional materials, semi-handicraft production methods, high quality finishing and details, are the distinctiveness of the thirty-year old tradition of ZEUS: the mission is not only a concept of product style, but is also a concept of home environment and atmosphere. A kind of home living where high tech industrial – and still hand made – products are combined with other “manual” worlds: it could be defined as a minimalist, blunt and linear design with subtle hints of poetry and nature.

The interior decoration of the Bombarde coffee restaurant represents the first collaboration between Zeus and the Biennale, which is characterized by the selection of some iconic pieces of the collection.

Among the main products there are "Easy Irony" bookcase, in a special customized version for the Bombarde restaurant, "Ginger" and "Slim Sissi" chairs, "Mini Tavolo" table (in the 2018 version with antique oak wooden top, presented during the last Design Week) and the "Big Irony Round" table, almost creating the identity of a permanent exhibition for the visitors.
