Special delivery: Design Post

Visitors to imm cologne expect to discover new products that will feature prominently in the interiors landscape throughout the coming year. Alongside their presence at the trade fair, many leading manufacturers showcase their novelties at the Design Post showroom, where guests can examine the products within dedicated spaces styled to reflect each brand’s particular identity.

During the 2020 edition of imm cologne, Design Post will once again become a destination for designers seeking inspiration and an overview of the latest interiors trends. According to Walter Braggion of Italian furniture brand Moroso, Design Post is the only flagship showroom in the region where it presents new products. ‘imm cologne is the first event of the year and an important moment for design companies to concentrate more on the markets in Germany, eastern and northern Europe,’ he explains, adding that this year Moroso will bring all of the novelties launched at last year’s Salone del Mobile to Design Post.

Other long-term partners presenting products for 2020 at Design Post include Dutch furniture brand Arco, which will bring two new tables and a chair, and Italian bathroom specialist Agape, which will show its Petra concrete basins alongside the architectural Rigo bathroom furniture system designed by Patricia Urquiola.

Brands exhibiting at Design Post for the first time this year include Muuto, which will present a lounge chair designed by Anderssen & Voll alongside a new standing lamp and a sculptural vase by Earnest Studio. The Scandinavian manufacturer will be joined by Buzzi-Space, Emeco and Wall&Deco, which will all mark their debut appearance with exciting launches and presentations of key products.

For many of these brands, Design Post provides an opportunity to promote their products to a new audience, and to get the year off to a flying start with some significant new launches. More importantly, perhaps, for the duration of imm cologne, the showroom becomes a hub for catching up with old and new acquaintances over a delicious Kölsch. What could be better?
