×New year, new perspectives: When Messe Frankfurt opens its doors for Ambiente, the world's most important platform for the consumer goods industry, from February 7 to 11, 2025, it will be a fantastic opportunity for all interior designers and architects to be inspired by fresh ideas for the home and hospitality sectors. We would also like to highlight another important focus of the fair: In Hall 3.1, alongside a wealth of new Living exhibitors, Ambiente expands its expertise in the Office Design & Solutions product segment with the Future of Work Academy.

×Balancing home comfort and office efficiency
All those of you familiar with the design of workspaces can certainly confirm that the office has always been subject to continuous change. With advancements in technology, such as hyperconnectivity or, more recently, artificial intelligence, along with knowledge and skill expansion within teams or companies responding to new customer needs with advanced service offerings, the requirements for workplaces are constantly evolving. Moreover, it’s not much of a risk to assume that for you, just like for millions of others, the desk at home has become the norm rather than the exception. For good reason, more and more companies are asking themselves how they can convince their teams – who, since the pandemic, have become somewhat too fond of the home office – of the benefits of a regular office workspace once again.
Ambiente offers solutions for the changing world of work, where the home desk has become the norm and companies seek to re-engage their teams with the benefits of regular office spaces
Ambiente provides the answers. For the first time, the programme of the Interior Design Day on the Monday of the fair will be presented by the Professional Association of Interior Architects in Germany bdia as part of the Future of Work Academy. Other contributions during the trade fair will come from the Federal German Working Group for Environmentally Conscious Management (BAUM e.V.), the Prima Vier Verlag with Office Roxx and World Architects. A better combination of expertise and practical networking insights is hardly possible. In addition, guided tours will take you to selected exhibitors offering smart interior and office design solutions.

×The Future of Work in real-virtual spaces
An important point of interest will be the Future of Work focus area, with a focus on the digitalisation of the workplace. ‘With the increasing establishment of artificial intelligence, augmented reality and virtual reality, a mutual dependency between reality and virtuality is emerging, where both worlds not only move closer together but increasingly merge,’ highlights the fair. As in the previous year, the area will be arranged and curated by Berlin-based architecture firm MTTR. ‘The new design of the Future of Work area visualises the challenges of navigation in a real-virtual working situation. In doing so, we are trying to raise awareness of the new instabilities but also opportunities of the world of work, in which much is real, much is virtual, and most likely, in the future, both will coexist,’ say André Schmidt and Joris Fach, architects and founding partners of MTTR.
Virtual and augmented realities are transforming workspaces, with Ambiente 2025 offering a glimpse into the Future of Work through innovative designs and solutions
One can imagine the area as a staged office complex in which real and virtual work environments come together. Here, different space solutions are tailored to requirements such as agile teamwork, focused work, home office, communication and meeting scenarios, or co-working areas. The Office Design & Solutions exhibitors in Hall 3.1 include companies such as Bungarten, Evavaara, Hey-Sign, König + Neurath, Kühnle Waiko Büromöbel, Mauser Einrichtungssysteme, Vario Büroeinrichtungen and Vluv. New exhibitors include Raw Solution and Schulte Elektrotechnik (Evoline), which offer a wide range of electrification solutions for conference rooms, offices, co-working spaces and mobile workstations.

×From premium interiors to ergonomic solutions
This wide range of exhibitors covers many aspects of office furnishings: space zoning, storage solutions, table and shelving systems, sound-insulating room dividers and ceiling elements, carpets, as well as ergonomic seating, office chairs and even mobile phone booths. Last but not least, as the office is becoming increasingly homely, it is definitely worth taking a look at the new Interior Looks area nearby, featuring selected furniture, lighting and textile manufacturers from the premium segment – including Fine Furniture, Ipdesign, JAB Anstoetz Group, Raasch, Scholtissek, Serax and Signet. The Cologne lifestyle brand Bordbar will also be welcomed to Ambiente for the first time. Representing both the Interior Looks and Future of Work areas are Bielefelder Werkstätten, Christine Kröncke Interior Design and Rodam – with their impressive range of armchairs, office chairs, secretaries and desks.
