As an exclusive brand in the office and property sector, Züco has managed to perfectly create a characteristic design range that enjoys a high level of recognition. German designer Rüdiger Schaack is responsible for Züco's current design line, which exerts a decisive influence on the brand's international presence.

Design in the blood

Since 2017, trained carpenter Rüdiger Schaack has been pursuing a clear goal: to establish a new, consistent, lively design language for the Swiss subsidiary of the Dauphin Human Design Group. He made a start with the Selvio entry-level model, to which, owing to his comprehensive knowledge of ergonomics and functionality, he added an unmistakable S-line in the backrest, as well as some charming details, such as the combination of zipper and lordosis handle. In doing this, he also makes visible Züco's extraordinary craftsmanship, which, despite its tradition and know-how, is not immune to innovation. Openness to new ideas is also a Rüdiger Schaack maxim: the aim that his products do not polarise, but rather are as equally well received by the executive as the start-up, is one that he consistently aspires to.

Under the guidance of Rüdiger Schaack, Züco's successful VisitaRe model has been sensitively brought into the present. Its successful features, such as the extremely comfortable strapped seat, have been supplemented with modern design innovations

Ready for work

In his time before Dauphin, he gained valuable experience in many different places – experience which as a freelance designer, he also knows how to utilize. When he's not designing for Züco, he enjoys designing objects that have nothing to do with the office world. A win-win situation for both sides: the head remains free for designs such as the loungey Averio, which persuades with its inviting charisma, as well as the possibility of playing with materials and colours. The VisitaRe conference and visitor chair has also been gently revised by Rüdiger Schaack and made fit for the future. And these are just two examples of many others that show well where Züco's journey is heading.
