Bonaldo presents the new Nelson collection

Bonaldo meets the design skills of Matteo Nunziati, one of the most influential architects and designers at international level. The collaboration between Bonaldo and Matteo Nunziati gave birth to the Nelson collection, with which the Venetian company offers an entire range of products for the bedroom, including a bed, bedside table, vanity table, home office and bench that create an environment imbued with new Bonaldo design inspirations.

The idea for this new collection comes from the Modern movement. Matteo Nunziati studied the work of American designer George Nelson as a starting point, hence, simple aesthetics for a collection based on maximum functionality. In fact, the lines of the Nelson collection are essential, with balanced shapes and proportions. Each element transmits, albeit with a rigorous and contemporary language, an extreme care in its manufacturing and a careful selection of materials such as wood, metal elements and fabrics.

The key element of the Nelson collection is the double bed. Its hallmark features are clean lines, precise analysis of the shapes and proportions and meticulous care taken over the details. The dramatic and imposing wood headboard with its bold wooden striations is the stand-out feature. The flat, slimline bed base, also made of wood, rests on slender metal feet: elements which give the Nelson bed the impression of being “suspended” as if it is floating in the bedroom. In the Nelson L version, the headboard is larger and the bedside tables are incorporated in the bed creating a balanced and elegant result. The range is completed by the bench with a wood frame and soft fabric cover: an elegant, sophisticated, yet functional element. 

In addition to the bed and bench, the collection includes the bedside table, the home office desk and the vanity table. All these elements feature clean lines and a contemporary feel, in line with the concept of the overall collection design. Attention to detail and material is clearly visible in the use of Canaletto walnut wood for all the elements of the Nelson collection, paired with metal used for the bases. By including these accessories in the collection, Bonaldo wants to offer maximum functionality for an entire range of products to create a real lifestyle.

With the launch of the Nelson collection, Bonaldo aims at creating environments, going beyond the single product and offering furnishing elements capable of defining with character the whole bedroom.
