The eclectic, new Cassina PRO collection offers ‘a wide choice of styles that can be adopted in different types of projects, making each one unique, but always with the same Cassina DNA.’

×With its new collection, Cassina PRO, the Italian design house hopes to spread some authentic design magic across public and commercial spaces, and put the oft-perceived unreachable icons of design into all kinds of new pathways.
Comprising the most covetable of classics such as Mario Bellini’s La Basilica table alongside new future classics such as the Cotone Slim sofa by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, all tweaked and honed for heavy-duty wear, the collection aims to slide into airports and museums, restaurants and hotel lobbies, offices and studios, restaurants and bars. ‘It is an eclectic collection that offers a wide choice of styles that can be adopted in different types of projects, making each one unique, but always with the same Cassina DNA,’ explains CEO, Luca Fuso.
The Volage EX-S Slim is characterised by innovative capitonné tufting, an industrial process developed exclusively by Starck and Cassina which, in some places, replaces the traditional buttons with an elegant stitch

×The Aspen sofa by Jean-Marie Massaud and the Nuvola Rossa bookcase by Vico Magistretti are ideal for zoning large open spaces in airports and lobbies into more intimate areas of relaxation or conversation. No two setups need feel the same, since the options are generous; material finishes and fabric colour palettes allow for individualisation which also means that however familiar a piece is, it will feel different in each setting.
Stand out pieces such as Perriand’s Petit bureau en forme libre desk or her versatile Ventaglio table are updated to dress a home office, while the fresh certifications brought to pieces such as Starck’s Caprice and Passion chairs make them perfect for furnishing communal workspaces and professional studios.
The proportions and construction of the sofa and chair are carefully conceived to allow enduring comfort. The narrow armrest offers greater space for seating in lobbies and offices

×Restaurants can take advantage of the Cab chair by Mario Bellini, crafted from hard-wearing saddle leather, while hotel lobbies might avail themselves of some Volage EX-S Slim sofas by Philippe Starck and team them with Perriand’s Mexique coffee tables. The comprehensive catalogue of classic design, newly certified for contract use, is opening up exciting new possibilities in the domain of public and commercial interior design and Fuso promises there is more to come. ‘We have made an important commitment to developing new pieces for the collection which will continue to grow over the coming years.’
