×Roviva has a wealth of experience to draw on, dating back to the founding of the tradition-steeped firm in Wangen an der Aare in 1748. Peter Patrik Roth is the ninth generation of his family to run the business and views this responsibility with pride and respect: 'I see our company history as a book in which every generation writes a new chapter.'
And in his chapter, Roth is building a bridge between tradition and innovation. Tradition is upheld by continuing to run the family company independently, ensuring a high degree of reliability and security for customers, business partners and staff. But planning for future generations is also an important value.

×Sustainability, for instance, which has long been part of the firm’s philosophy and practice, has been playing an even more important role in recent years. Its top-quality products with a long life span are just one way in which Roviva factors it in, as well as focusing on the entire life cycle of the materials. The company has its own test lab for experimenting and developing solutions. It has gone back to using brass zips that can be melted down instead of PES zips, for instance. And mattress foams are processed in such a way that they can be recycled and used for heat or noise insulation later on.

×What’s more, the company mainly relies on renewable natural resources like 100% natural latex, new Swiss wool, tussah silk, camel and horse hair, as well as FSC-certified wood. And not least of all, Roviva’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in its dealings with people: 'Partnership and trust are core to who we are,' says Roth.
Tradition: from finishing the mattress cores and sewing the covers all the way to assembling the slatted frames, every step of the process is done in-house at Roviva

×Roviva’s sleeping systems are produced entirely in Switzerland. 'Customers have become more discerning in recent years. They’re better informed and want to know all about the quality and the raw materials the products contain,' explains Roth.
The fact that everything is Swiss-made guarantees top quality, eco-friendly processing and short delivery distances. And last but by no means least, Roviva’s products sustain good sleep too. The new activa line is inspired by nature, which always brings itself back into balance by means of its self-regulating mechanisms. And in precisely the same way, the Swiss Balance Support System features a system frame that ensures the body is ideally balanced in any position. The result is a feeling of weightlessness without uncomfortable pressure points – for any body shape and size.
