The Biennale Interieur, coming up in Kortrijk (Belgium) from the 20th to the 28th of October is now in its 23rd edition. Recognised as the only event of its kind to balance convivial cultural happenings with the biggest names in European design, Interieur has become an important overview of trends, tastes and cultural movements that define design now.
The Biennale Interieur 2012 presents a curated selection of 300 international brands. Together they create a relevant and vibrant mix of design including timeless classics such as Thonet (DE) and Pastoe (NL), material specialists Kvadrat (DE), Corian (FR) and Lasvit (PL), hip traditionalists De La Espada (UK) and Gubi (DK), Plinio Il Giovane (IT), architectural lighting companies Flos (IT), Deltalight (BE), Dark (BE), French éditeurs like Petite Friture (FR) and established European names Moroso (IT) and Arper (IT).

×This fine selection of brands will be joined by international design galleries such as London and Paris-based Carpenters Workshop, SuperDesign from London, Paris-based Galerie Gosserez and the Dutch gallery Judy Straten. Belgian-based galleries Victor Hunt, Ampersand House, Valerie Traan, Greta Meert, Art & Advice, Sofie Lachaert and designer Antoine van Loocke will also be present and bring avant-garde design.

Interieur is proud to present Ventura Interieur This is a new partnership with Organisation in Design (NL), the team behind the successful Ventura Projects in Milan and Berlin, devoted to emerging talent, interesting design happenings and events. Interieur and Organisation in Design came together after the realisation that both organisations have similar ethos in terms of curating their spaces, they both focus on showing a carefully chosen selection of interesting and exciting work that promotes both commerce and culture.
Ventura Interieur at INTERIEUR 2012 will be an international platform that showcases a selection of young designers, new brands, academies and institutions. A total of 70 participants will be spread over the various locations of the Biennale. The Ventura Runway, a curated exhibition of new products is integrated into the scenography and can be discovered at the ground floor of the Buda Factory at Buda Island and the Kortrijk Xpo presentation at the Rambla near the north entrance.
