Architonic's most-viewed projects of 2021: Office interiors

Continuing our look back at the year that was, these office interior projects from 2021 were the most commonly clicked by Architonic users, dreaming of returning to the workplace.

1: Siersema by Beyond Space

Beyond Space needed to segregate separate workspaces in this large, expansive office. Instead of cutting out light by putting up walls, however, they draped layers of rippling semi-transparent fabric from the ceiling instead. The result is a softly-lit, magical wonderland, expertly reflecting the essence of the office’s riverside location and view.

2: S. Friedman by Shirli Zamir Design Studio

Whether it’s done proactively or reactively, requiring legal representation can be a nerving proposition. Therefore, the concept for the Friedman & Co. law firm’s office renovation was to project an atmosphere of calming confidence for both clients and employees. Clean lines and a subdued palette help to present not a perfect space, but one that’s warm and inviting.

3. Crystal Martin Vietnam Office by D&P Associates Vietnam

Lingerie manufacturer Crystal Martin’s huge 10,000sqm office needed an interior that was clear and simple. Original floor-projected department signage, colour-coded partitions and a directional light track provide intuitive navigation. While expanded floor-to-ceiling windows, transparent partitions and a living wall provide natural light and wellbeing. Like good lingerie, the interior is both comfortable and aesthetic.

4. Zifergauz by VOX Architects

Zifergauz is a digital innovation space where the technology serving modern-day geological exploration is born. Combining technology with history is replicated in the workplace’s interior, with statement lighting installations, acoustic meeting space pods and professional media presentation space complementing exposed brickwork arches and integrated pine trees.

5. Samsen by Note Design Studio

Tech consultancy Samsen usually dispatches its employees to work directly with clients onsite, but they were in need of an operational base to call home. With all the features of a workplace, apart from the actual work, the resulting place is more like a private wine bar or café for their familial employees to share.
