Heimtextil in 2023 will not only continue its tradition as the sector's most important trend barometer, it's also going full circle. Under the 'Textiles Matter' banner, Heimtextil Trends 23/24 will revolve around the themes of the circular economy and sustainability.

People and textiles have something essential in common: they love contact. So there is palpable anticipation that, after a two-year hiatus, Heimtextil will return in full to Frankfurt again from 10 to 13 January 2023. Over 2,400 international exhibitors have registered for the event, including many well-known big names as well as an exciting array of newcomers.

And a good thing too: After all, the future can best be shaped when we work together. Climate change is not just a current hot topic, but something that requires our urgent action. The textile industry in particular is facing major challenges when it comes to climate and sustainability, and are subjects too that the sector is proactively addressing.  At Heimtextil – the leading international trade fair for home and contract textiles – and under the banner ‘Textiles Matter’, Heimtextil Trends 23/24 aims to give a boost to the circular economy and set new standards for future-oriented furnishing.

‘In view of the ecological emergency we are currently in, the textile industry has a responsibility to review its processes and change them for the better,’ explains Marta Giralt Dunjó of FranklinTill. The renowned future-focused agency from the UK is in charge of the conception of the popular Trend Space in Hall 9.0 in 2023, where the spectacular design and trend area will set the scene for Heimtextil Trends 23/24. Naturally, in accordance with the ‘Material Manifesto’, which commits the entire area to sustainable design.

In addition to the Trend Space – which also includes the 'Future Materials Library’, an international collection of material innovations – Heimtextil offers many other highlights, from the Interior.Architecture.Hospitality trade programme and numerous elements around the subject of sustainability, to the Heimtextil ‘Sleep & More’ Conference. Many of these events can be experienced and enjoyed in the form of guided tours, top-class lectures and other formats and events. A multi-faceted programme that focuses on the sustainable development of the textile industry.
