The ultimate in flexible lighting design: Plug & Light featured by JUNG

For the hospitality industry, JUNG offers a broad range of modern building systems technology specially designed to meet the needs of guests, operators and personnel. The latest addition to the portfolio is the Plug & Light socket, which was introduced along with other products on the occasion of the trade fair Light & Building 2018 in March. This product brings light right out of the socket.

Plug & Light fits any European switch box and distinguishes itself through its flexibility in planning and application. This makes it well-suited to both the hotel segment and to private residences. The switch and light design both come from the same source and can be coordinated with the respective interior design. The dimmable luminaires can be turned through 360°. Because they are connected with the light socket by a magnet, the luminaires can also be easily exchanged, allowing a quick change of lighting scenarios: Plug & Light can alternately serve as a ceiling downlight or a reading lamp, a pendant luminaire or a spotlight, and as direct or indirect light.

In addition to Plug & Light, JUNG showed further applications for the hospitality industry in a hotel room display at Light & Building. These included, among other things, the intelligent hotel card key switch with RFID reader; the corridor unit, which ensures smooth communication between guests and personnel, in a new glass version; and the ready-made installation system Plug & Go, whose components are plugged rather than screwed together, thereby reducing installation time and error rates. With these and other products featuring timeless design, JUNG covers the entire spectrum of modern building systems technology and offers greater convenience and efficiency for the future-oriented hotel room.
