×For a long time, it would have seemed almost unthinkable that classic chrome could one day have competition when it comes to bathroom fittings. But now that the colour white is no longer the sole standard for bathroom ceramics, it is only logical that the fittings should also become customisable. Swiss brand LAUFEN has long since recognised this trend and, with its own PVD system, has created the basis for being able to directly implement the wishes of architects and planners.
As carefully as LAUFEN's designs are developed, they are implemented with the same precision in the company's own fittings factory

×Investing in the future
The company has invested a good CHF 2.2 million in a system which can coat fittings, overhead showers, shower brackets, angle valves, and other accessories in the desired colour, in the highest quality, and without a long lead time. LAUFEN thus enables architects and planners to create on-trend kitchens and bathrooms which make a long-lasting and timeless impression.
In the physical vapour deposition process, metallic surfaces are coated with an ultra-thin crystalline layer that produces the desired colour effect through interference. It is also extremely resistant and, thanks to the coating, the surfaces of the fittings and accessories also become doubly scratch-resistant.
High-gloss coatings make the surfaces more hard-wearing, while at the same time retaining the brilliance of the chrome surface underneath

×Different variants
Depending on the version, LAUFEN offers three different PVD surfaces for design freedom in bathroom and kitchens. With the high-gloss coating in rose gold or in a warm shade of gold, the brilliance of the chrome surface is preserved. The satin-matte version in titanium black or pale gold gives the surface a fine sheen, while a fine sanding pattern covers the surface for a stainless steel look with a brushed finish.
With the PVD coating of LAUFEN fittings, architects and planners can emphasise features and specifically influence the effect of bathroom ceramics. Thanks to its own system, LAUFEN supplies everything from a single source. In addition to proven quality as a full-range supplier, it also offers a comprehensive and competent advisory service.
