In Part 8 of our ISH preview of new products, we transcend spatial boundaries with Antoniolupi, bringing bathroom furniture and sculptural washbasins closer to our living spaces.
Anyone familiar with Antoniolupi will know that they aren't shy when it comes to extravagance. Remember the stunning, brightly coloured, transparent bathtubs that the Tuscan-based company presented at the last ISH four years ago, for example? In 2023, the brand returns under the slogan ‘Transversality’ and wants to prove that after more than 70 years of expertise in bathroom design, it is more than open to new explorations of space. In short: Antoniolupi wants to further open up overlapping areas in the home – a logical step in view of continuing trends toward the disappearance of spatial boundaries.
Anima Liquida by Italian designer Giorgio Rava is a cylindrical sculpture made of natural stone (Ceppo di Grè), which demands to be positioned in the centre of the room
A particular highlight in Frankfurt will be its free-standing Anima Liquida washbasin, which has already made waves. Anima Liquida by Italian designer Giorgio Rava is a cylindrical sculpture made of natural stone (Ceppo di Grè), which demands to be positioned in the centre of the room. The water flows dramatically like a waterfall from a narrow gap under the edge of the pool down into the hemispherical bowl. Through a small hole in the middle, it flows away. As is so often the case with Antoniolupi, it again demonstrates its skill in merging craftsmanship with high-tech.

Anima Liquida Living comprises compact sideboards and wall units up to 40 cm deep, which are also intended to find their place in the living room
The staging is completed by a furniture collection of the same name, which is not only intended for homely bathrooms or open-plan bedroom/bathroom situations. Anima Liquida Living comprises compact sideboards and wall units up to 40 cm deep, which are also intended to find their place in the living room. Their slender fronts, characterised by rhythmic interruptions, are striking and are available in a choice of wood or lacquer finishes. Behind the doors, there is a continuous storage surface that stands out elegantly against the wall thanks to an integrated LED strip.
Antoniolupi can be found in Hall 3.1, Stand B80 at ISH.
