×Providing exclusive design for spending quality time outdoors. That is the key ambition behind Belgian outdoor furniture brand, Royal Botania. An intention which comes across in a manifest manner when going through the catalogue of their 2024 Outdoor Collections. Images of elegant, high-grade seating and dining furniture set in supreme nature surroundings awake the senses, make you urge to sit outside in warm temperatures, breathe in aromas of plants and trees, sand and the sea. Dreamy settings which illustrate how well-designed outdoor furniture can definitely enhance the pleasure of outdoor lounging and dining.

×Evolution and continuity
The 2024 Outdoor Collection by Royal Botania is not a tour de force of new design pieces. Sure, there are some brand-new designs added to existing collections, yet the grand catalogue rather represents the continuous effort Royal Botania has maintained since they started in 1992. 'This past year we've wanted to look deeply into our existing collections, making sure that they were as complete and superior as possible,' says Pieter Van Puyvelde, Marketing Manager at Royal Botania. 'We are very conscious of the level of exclusivity that we offer and that our clients expect, and for that reason we have taken our time to improve our collections meticulously, proposing additional pieces and new and more durable materials.'

When CEO and Head of Design, Kris Van Puyvelde, set up the furniture company more than three decades ago he answered to the minimalist wave of the nineties, designing simple structures and squarish shapes. This has since changed into also including a large range of organic shaped furniture which is clearly documented in this year’s catalogue. Soft and rounded profiles for chairs as well as tables, inviting people to sit down comfortably with no risk of hitting a sharp edge.

×Collections such as Ostrea, Styletto, Organix and Mambo, in each their distinct way, call for soft and snug outdoor lounging. ‘We see an increasing interest in lounge and low outdoor furniture which is why we are now introducing a new low dining table, fitting sofas and lounge chairs, adding versatility to the outdoor lounging experience,’ says Pieter Van Puyvelde.
Organic shapes and soft corners are visually intriguing as well as nice to the touch. With references to playful modular mid-century designs, the Organix Collection can be organised in unconventional ways

×In pursuit of excellence
When asked about their perception of exclusivity, Royal Botania’s answer arrives promptly: good design and long-lasting durability. Thus, in order to ensure a high level of execution and quality, the company has founded their own furniture factory in Thailand, employing around 350 local workers. With their own production facility, quality control and satisfying working conditions for their employees are well organised and supervised. A substantial part of Royal Botania’s products being made from high-end teak wood, they also source their own materials, making sure that what is being used is properly certified and of the best possible quality.
'We will open up our very own showroom in autumn 2024, near our headquarters in Belgium. We wish to welcome our clients into the heart of Royal Botania, sharing our ceaseless passion for high-end outdoor furniture'
At Royal Botania, 2024 is a year of inspecting all parts of their activity, from stem to stern. A number of new plans are under way, such as a digital update of the entire catalogue with 3D files and a configurator, directed towards their professional clients in particularly.

×In the near future, a new collection of furniture dedicated solely to the project market will be realised too. ‘With more than 30 years in outdoor furniture, we have the experience and the know-how, yet we still wish to improve and offer our clients the best service and products possible. That is also why we will open up our very own showroom in autumn 2024, near our headquarters in Belgium. We wish to welcome our clients into the heart of Royal Botania, sharing our ceaseless passion for high-end outdoor furniture,’ finishes Van Puyvelde. And on that note, soon much more to be expected from the Belgian Royals of outdoor design.
