One could say that WARASAW HOME in 2016 was the next big thing. Today, this has become a reality.
Warsaw Home is a unique event on a global scale. No other interior design and furnishing event in the world is developing as quickly and spectacularly as Warsaw Home. It can already be called the most important industry event in Central and Eastern Europe. The statistics show that such a strong trade fair will attract more and more important exhibitors and visitors from year to year.
Warsaw Home is a relatively new event in the world of interior decoration and design. The trade fair premiered in 2016 and will be held in October 2018 for the third time. However, in this short period of time it has become the most important business platform in the country, and in Central and Eastern Europe. The fair has been a great success, far beyond the borders of the country and the region. No other trade fair event in this sector in the world is developing so intensively and is using this good time for design as efficiently. Exhibition space has grown five-fold, from 24,000-square-metres in 2016 to 120,000-square-metres in 2018! The same goes for the number of exhibitors: 150 in 2016, 400 in 2017 and — according to forecasts — 800 in 2018! The trade fair has a large share of professionals and guests from abroad (29% in 2017, according to forecasts as many as 37% in 2018).
We can compare
Warsaw Home is developing more intensively than Saloni WorldWide in Moscow, which has been organized since 2005, and Salone del Mobile, which has been present since 2016. The possibilities of the region, vision and energy of the organizers make it possible to compare it with the biggest and most important fairs in the world and in Europe – Salone del Mobile in Milan and IMM in Cologne. The most famous and prestigious trade fair in Milan, premiered in 1961, hosted 1841 exhibitors for 230,000-square-metres during the 2018 edition (with a record number of visitors - 435 thousand). With almost 70 years of tradition, the Cologne trade fair in 2018, held since 1949, attracted 1,282 exhibitors to an area of 270,000-square-metres and attracted 125,000 visitors. These are, of course, higher figures, but they are comparable to the statistics of Warsaw Home, which achieved its results in just 3 years.
Great potential, great success
The creator of Warsaw Home, Kasia Ptak, immediately planned and organised the trade fair not with the local market in mind, but in turn with the international one. The location, Nadarzyn near Warsaw, gave more opportunities than other places in Poland. Warsaw with its international airport and fast connections to the whole of Europe is an excellent destination, with its huge and diverse hotel base and additional attractions. The trade fair can be reached from the city center in less than half an hour, and the organisers take care of efficient communication for all guests. The city is developing in a unique way: in Warsaw, the two million inhabitants’ city, 24 thousand apartments were sold in 2016, more than in London, with eight million inhabitants!
Modern, huge Ptak Warsaw Expo exhibition halls, in which Warsaw Home is organised, meet the highest fair standards. Exhibitors have at their disposal space which they can use freely and in an interesting way, together with all the necessary technical facilities. Guests can enjoy a range of attractions, information and gastronomic facilities and have access to the best brands and products from all over the world.
Best brands, best promotion
Since the very beginning Warsaw Home has attracted not only Polish producers, although their presence is an important value of the fair. Warsaw Home promotes Polish furniture production and increases the recognition of individual Polish brands, but also of the whole country, which – as not everyone knows, especially outside our borders – is the fourth largest furniture manufacturer in Europe and the third largest furniture export country. From the very beginning, the trade fair featured the world's largest brands and the best design, and with each successive edition, the number of international manufacturers who present their newest products is growing.
Loud names
Since the first edition, the trade fair has been accompanied by debates, lectures and additional events, addressed both to amateurs and to the industry. The stars of Warsaw Home are the greatest architects and designers. Karim Rashid has already attended the Warsaw fair twice, and his lecture has gathered crowds every time. This year, Tom Dixon, Stefano Giovannoni and Nika Zupanc will attend.
The intensive development of the trade fair shows how necessary this event was in our region. Warsaw Home brings together entrepreneurs from the East and West and constantly increases its range of activities. It is worth being a part of this extraordinary event, so mark your calendars and do not to miss out on any opportunities and possibilities.
