Product description

Archimede is a Laptop Caddy designed by the architect Leonardo Rossano with two oak veneer wood tabletops or methacrylate polymer and a structure in matte chrome steel. The “genial” workstation on wheels adjusts from sitting to standing height, and the mouse tray can be positioned on left or right. The two tabletops are independently adjustable, each with several inclinations and heights to fit any situation, whether on foot or seated on a sofa, chair or bed.

Modern versatility

The main feature of Archimede is the enormous versatility which allows the correct height and inclinations depending on the individual needs: you can use it seated on a sofa, lounge chairs, chairs, or when you stand-up or when you are seated in your bed. The tops are independently adjustable in several inclinations and heights that you can make with simple manual operations, and they can be completely folded vertically, so that when you have also folded the legs, you can have a product completely flat and therefore you can fit it in any small narrow space.

Portable and foldable

Portable on three wheels which can also be blocked, Archimede folds to a flat position for storage in a narrow space although, since its multifunctionality ranges from computer use, to side table, to food tray, to writing or reading tablet, it’s difficult to image this caddy being stowed for long periods. Crafted with an adjusting mechanism concealed in the tubes, the result of a deep know-how and ergonomic research that distinguishes the Altek Italia Design company, the Archimede Caddy has a clean looking design that fits in any environment.

Designed to be indispensable and functional

Why is Archimede considered a “must” and a present product? For the mass distribution of the lap-top in both home or office areas. An ever-increasing phenomenon and for this reason we have designed and developed a furniture unit which is easy to move, folding, light weight, and which helps people for an easy and comfortable way to use the laptop. Following the design and to the lightness both physics and visual, Archimede can be used in different areas and you can easily move it from one room to another and after the use it can be folded and storaged in any small space. It can be used as a laptop caddy, but also for your home-work, to play, to read, to eat, and for conference-area, speech or video-home theater.

Steel has been chosen for the capacity of strength of this material, that with the bending of the three legs, central column and supporting plates for the tops guarantees the carry out of many rotary movements without welding points. For the tops we have chosen the wood for the classic design in the oak veneer finish stained natural or wenge, combined eventually with a column covered in leather, for the intrinsic aesthetics and tactile quality (beauty and soft sense of touch) of these two natural materials. For a modern version we have preferred the methacrylate material in different colors to give to the product a technological, dynamic, colored and youthful image. Several colors are available for the wooden tops and for the methacrylate top.
