Product description

An evolution of a freestanding sink, a full expression of the balance between shape, size and materials, a functional upgrade to give even more space to water with a larger and more generous basin. Albume was born from the overlapping of different geometric shapes that define a whole that is expressed precisely by the delicate balance between the parts. The column remains unchanged in size from the original design, but it is the sink that is enlarged to give birth to Albume12 of Ø 52 H 19 cm.

Between lightness and solidity, between rigor and expressiveness, between material and color enhanced by reflections and transparencies. Two elements summarize the project: a base that expresses solidity and strength and a transparent and colorful basin that lets water play the leading role. Materials and colors define the image of the sink, which despite the invariability of its clean forms radically changes its face according to the choices made for the column and basin. Between chromatic and material uniformity for a monolithic image, to the virtuous dialogue between the parts that can, for example, break down into a column in White Carrara Marble or Black Marquinia and a sink in Cristalmood with trendy colors such as Bronze or Nocturne. The solidity of the stone is enhanced by the lightness of the basin and vice versa, resulting in striking compositions.

Concept

Lightness and solidity, rigor and expressiveness, material and color. Poetry of opposites, the balance that arises from the superposition of geometric shapes, a perfect and proportional relationship between the parts. Albume is the freestanding washbasin designed by Carlo Colombo that alternates between a solid base that expresses strength and a transparent and colored basin that leaves the role of protagonist to the water.
