Thirteen years after its debut in the b&b italia collection, the charles sofa system - along-time bestseller for the company - is being introduced in a new outdoor version:charles-outdoor. characteristics that made it a classic of pure contemporary taste havebeen left unchanged. the system will have the same slim frame, flexibility and signaturedesign of the inverted “l” shape aluminium feet. the new piece maintains the beauty andsimplicity of the original project while also evolving gracefully for practical outdooruse - the piece is lightweight thanks to its slim aluminium frame and has an externalsurface created by open weave polypropylene bands. the range of sofas, terminalelements and chaise-longue pieces - made up of 9 elements of various styles and sizes -expands with a small armchair and a reclining cot. the dove brown bands match the fabriccovers of the seat cushions. the three sizes of back cushions can mirror the neutralshade of the frame or coordinate with lively, brilliant colours from the new outdoorfabric collection. to improve and guarantee greater protection from weather, b&b italiahas treated all fabrics in the collection, as well as those used for the internal part ofthe cushions, with advanced water-repellent techniques.
