Handmade cotto flooring - dimensions 10 x 10 or 20 x 20 or 25 x 25 or 30 x 30 x 1,8 cm (nominal size) smooth surface available in cotto tradizionale: rosato, bianco, grigio 01, grigio 02, paglierino, moka and variegato 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, Ebru 00, 01, 02, 03. Rustic surface avaible in cotto tradizionale: rosato, bianco, grigio 01, grigio 02, paglierino, moka.

Concept

The cotto objects of Fornace Brioni are made by hand, starting with a fired mixture made only of clay and water. The items in cotto release no harmful susbtances during production or across their life cycle, precisely because they contain only clay, sourced and certified in Italy. During the entire production phase and even after the firing, no scraps or waste are created, because cotto can always be reutilized: prior to the firing, as raw material, or afterwards, when it can be ground up to produce chamotte and coocciopesto. Therefore this product is the epitome of sustainability.
