Concept
With the aim of offering the opportunity to enrich the living experience by combining the selected materials of the Giorgetti collection, for 2020, Giorgetti and Umberto Asnago present Janet, armchair or bergère.
Janet is a chair with an important presence, characterised by the quality of the raw materials and the workmanship, by the attention to detail and by the very elegant design. The contrast between the solidity of the external shell and the softness of the seat and backrest is evident. The inside of the backrest is available in the smooth version or characterised by a precious play of stitching drawing elongated hexagons: the refinement of the result shows the research conducted on the sewing techniques by the company's R&D department.
The armchair seems to float above the base that combines metal and canaletto walnut. This contrast between materials is emphasised by the metal profile that separates the wooden legs. The solid wooden parts highlight the skills in choosing and processing the raw material, the high professionalism of the craftsmen and the rigorous precision of the CNC machines.
Creativity and know-how meet giving life to soft shapes, sensual lines and volumes of Janet.
