Concept
Designed to blend into different types of environments, and at the same time to give them a unique character, Onda collection takes its inspiration from the dynamism, elegance and purity of ocean waves, from the hollow or tubular shape that the empty space created by the breaking wave takes on.
The heart of the entire collection is undoubtedly its structure: an aluminum band that supports the cushions and becomes the iconic element of the collection itself.
Characterized by fluid lines, like those of the wave, the band is not only an aesthetic element, but becomes a real functional element, a rigid armrest that can be used to support objects.
The choice of materials is the result of Pininfarina's all-round design experience: aluminium - from the automotive sector - for the structure, fabrics - used in luxury yachts are particularly resistant and of fine workmanship - for the cushions.
A collection that over the years has been enriched with new lines to best adapt to the different moments of the day, accompanying the customer at the poolside with chairs and deckchairs, during meals with an elegant dining table, and at aperitif time with a complete bar set.
Different lines but with a unique character given by the use of high quality materials: the heart of the lounge area is given by the aluminum structure, available in three different colors, which supports and blends with the cushions, with the possibility to choose between different fabrics and colors: Sunbrella or nautical fabric. For the dining area, on the other hand, aluminum meets Burmese Teak, which, together with the large, masterfully matched seats, give the entire set a sense of protection and relaxation.
"We have drawn on the magic of nature to give life to Onda, a collection with a distinctive character and at the same time able to integrate into different environments. The technology and know-how typical of different sectors make it unique in its kind" - Paolo Pininfarina
