Oak Floorboards – Timeless and Elegant Classics

Oak is the queen of trees - a natural beauty that takes its time. Our oaks grow for up to 200 years in German and French forests before we carefully select and process them. Each HIRAM Habitat oak is sourced exclusively from sustainably managed forests. We obtain the wood for our planks from our own round timber trade. With years of experience, our staff select the noble heartwood logs and oversee them in the forest to ensure the finished plank meets our standards.

Oak planks create a high-quality, warm ambiance in any room. Oiling the wood enhances its warm natural tone, while a raw wood effect oil gives the oak a light, modern, and timeless look. The unique HIRAM Habitat surface finishes “Shrunk & lightly brushed” and “Rough-Sawn” offer exclusive design options.

Oak floorboards are particularly robust and resilient. The hardwood is especially suitable for high-traffic areas.

Every single HIRAM Habitat Oak plank is crafted in local workshops or artisanal factories. After production, we carefully select the planks for our three grades URBAN Classic, COUNTRY Classic and RUSTIC Classic.

Our URBAN Classic grading features only a few small knots and a fine-grained structure. The room effect is calm and elegant.

Our COUNTRY Classic grading has a lively warm wood structure with securely glued and filled knots. They create a cozy and characterful atmosphere in the room.

The RUSTIC Classic grading features a lively knot pattern with a high number of knots of various sizes, along with longer filled cracks. Natural color variations in the wood are present. Indoors, these planks create a cozy and rural impression.
