Product description

Plateau presents a stringent - almost graphic - expression firmly rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition. Designed to provide numerous seats in socially oriented formations, Plateau is produced from durable materials requiring no other maintenance than soap and water.
Three available models provide accessibility for all kinds of users. Combining the models in different ways provides a variety of solutions both functionally and aesthetically.
Plateau-L has two benches providing staggered access to the table along a flat diagonal with each bench forming a letter L. This allows easy access for the walking impaired. Seats 8-10.
Plateau-O is the basic model: a table with an integrated bench all the way around it. Seats 10-12.
Plateau-I features two benches surrounding the table like a pair of parentheses, with room for a wheelchair at either end. Seats 6-8 - including two wheelchairs.

Material
Seat/tabletop: robust, multi-layered and dyed 12mm HPL (High Pressure Laminate) available in 6 colours. Highly UV- and weather-resistant, solid mechanical quality and durability. Frame: Hot galvanized steel or hot galvanized steel + textured, antrachite powder-paint. Approx. colour code RAL 7024. Disc: Bead blasted stainless steel.

4 x Ø14mm holes. For surface fixation.

Maintenance
Maintenance-free and easy to clean. Graffiti removes easily.

Concept

Plateau is, in simple words, a table with an integrated bench that encourages interaction. The product is somewhat an unique piece of urban furniture. Plateau is designed to accommodate numerous seats (8-12 depending on the model), it serves different purposes (school, kindergarten, canteen, work and public space), and is offered in 6 different color variations. It is not only a convenient and beautiful design solution, it also also easy to maintain - nothing more than soap and water. Plateau from out-sider is proposed for Danish Design Award.
