Luxy, designed in 2002, was the first lamp to be showcased in the Rotalian catalogue, and was at the same time an original and yet familiar model. It introduced elements in plastic together with glass and metal, and it harked back to the historically renowned desk lamps with balanced arms. Its movement was based on hidden springs and on friction joints and, to make it more homelike, it had a coloured glass shade that partly diffused the light in the room.
After almost twenty years, the Luxy family expands with two new models, a table lamp and a floor lamp, featuring the same simple outlines and for domestic use only.
The shade, which is the most characteristic feature of the Luxy lamp family, is offered in a new range of colours: gold, copper, smoke tinted.
