Concept
We often only learn to appreciate home once we’ve gotten some distance to it. The STABELLÖ chair belongs to the inventory of every cosy pub and mountain chalet in the German-speaking Alpine regions. The modern interpretation by Japanese designer Tomoko Azumi shows this classic through new eyes: The seat and turned legs are made of solid wood, as with the traditional one. But they are connected with a sophisticated and complicatedly worked backrest witch ergonomically shapes to the back and provides perfect flexibility thanks to the flowing transition of the material thickness. The practical openings in the backrest and indentation under the seat make the chair easy to pick up with one hand and move. STABELLÖ combines tradition with craftsmanship and innovation, which means it looks at home in a loft, a chalet or a classic lounge. Whoever sits down will feel welcome and comfortable. Or, simply at home.
