Designed by Skrivo, the inspiration for the initial concept was stimulated by the way a collar folds. This creates a more comfortable chair as well as adding a more distinct visual detail.

Collar combines technology and handcraft. The injection-moulded interior followed intense modelling. The upholstery is tailored just like a made to measure suit. Even the buttons are upholstered to match the seat cushion, underscoring the importance of every last detail.

Two versions are available: metal or wooden feet. The ash is available in any colour from our collection. The metal is available in textured epoxy: black, grey or brown.

Skrivo
The studio was founded in 2011 by the Croatian-Irish product designer Stefan Krivokapic. In the past he has received a number of prestigious awards including: Best Furniture Designer by Elle Decor Croatia, 1st place at the New Office Designer Awards, the Gold Award at the Samsung Young Design Awards, & most recently finalist at the 2013 edition of the Young & Design Awards.

Based in Milan, Skrivo is a design consultancy specialises in industrial design across furniture and lighting sectors. The projects always try to be conscious of the available manufacturing methods while taking into special consideration the materials through constant research into new ones in order to create products that attain a balance between the functional and aesthetics in order to create innovative products.

The Collar chair is fruit of the first collaboration between the design studio and Sancal.
