Product description

The Japanese city of Matsumoto was the birthplace of a table for two. Now its little siblings have been added to this wonderfully varied series of tables – in new sizes, varying designs and with slightly different temperaments. Meet the Matsumoto mini table – the colourful bit of candy that is bound to lift your mood. A new personality that is as easy to deal with as the rest of the family.

“Matsumoto started life in the Japanese city of the same name as a coffee table in a ceramics showroom combined with a children’s bookshop. Now we have pulled the soft, rounded shapes of the base plate and table top closer to each other in these new variations of a coffee or side table. It makes the juxtaposition between the shapes even clearer.” /Claesson Koivisto Rune

Table with tabletop and pillar frame in white (RAL9016) or black (RAL9005) lacquered metal. Skandiform standard lacquers (RAL) as option.

Concept

“In Matsumoto (a medium-sized city a few hours northwest of Tokyo), we designed a flagship store with a café. A table for two was developed, which when lined up edge-to-edge forms a kind of long café table, with clearly defined seat positions. A simple but easily recognizable geometry. The store's interior won the German Design Award 2015.”

Table with top in black or white stained ash veneer. Pillar chassis in black or white lacquered metal.
