Hexagon Side Table
Coffee tables from Tribù, Designed by Marc Merckx
Product description
Marc Merckx’s Hexagon tables prove that nature is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for new designs. The side tables’ teak support refers to the hexagonal basalt pillars of the Giant’s Causeway, a rock formation in Northern Ireland that was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Moreover, Merckx swears by sophisticated proportions, which is why the perfect symmetry of the honeycomb was his second source of inspiration. The Hexagon tabletop is made of handcrafted glazed lava stone with a subtle craquelure effect that highlights the natural imperfections in the stone. The enamel layer ensures that the natural stone is water, heat, frost, UV, and stain-resistant. Hexagon is equally beautiful on its own as in a multiunit layout.
