Product description

The plywood seat shell is made using an innovative 3D technology, which gives it a sinuous curvature adapted to the human anatomy. This unique micro-slice-technology allows even the smallest cuttings of natural veneer to be used in the manufacturing process.
The plywood seat shell can be coloured with environmentally safe stain finishes in several, calming shades. In addition to the basic natural beech veneer, other stained options available include oak, bleached beech, orange or green. The classic veneer is available in walnut. The minimalistic form of the chair is complemented by a seat cushion, which is not permanently attached to the chair, remaining ready for change at any time of use. The distinctive sinuous steel frame highlights the fluidity of the design and the organic inspiration behind it.
VANK_PEEL armchair is an excellent choice for shared spaces in offices or hotels, reception areas, lobbies or cafés. Together with matching tables, they encourage meetings in a less formal atmosphere — so much in demand in the offices and public areas of today.

Concept

The VANK_PEEL series has been created out of concern for the natural resources of wood. The ‘reduce’ step, in line with the 3R Principle of acting with the natural environment in mind, has been put into practice by using wood-saving technology.
The name PEEL emphasizes the fluidity of forms like peelings and reminds us of the possibilities of making use of what has so far been considered waste. A result is a sophisticated form that is even more valuable than if obtained from new resources. The new premium is about going for the natural.
3D INNOVATION TO RESPECT NATURAL RESOURCES
VANK_PEEL is a product of the sustainable design approach. The pared-down form emphasizes respect for natural resources and offers a product that can be disassembled after its useful life. It is therefore completely recyclable.
The VANK_PEEL series includes chairs, lounge chairs, coffee tables, table and a desk.
VANK PEEL has been awarded the ICONIC AWARDS 2022 for its design.
