Kimono chair

Vondom pays tribute to the culture of the Orient in the latest creation from Ramón Esteve: a chair inspired by the shape of the kimono. The idea stems from a proposal for a design that fuses the futuristic with the traditional. Hence the reference to the Japanese garment, whose fabrics are imbued with symbolism and history.
The piece is shaped from polycarbonate, a material that gives it a unique appearance of faceted lines and an interplay of transparencies, resulting in a design both geometric and functional.
These features generate a series of reflections and highlights reminiscent of the brightness and magic of a diamond. The materiality of the design enables it to fit elegantly in contemporary and classic spaces alike.
